How to Find the Channels on Each Platform (2025)

Platform

How to locate ITV channels

Freeview (Aerial)

Use the TV’s channel scan function. The default logical channel numbers (LCNs) are shown in the table above.

Sky (Satellite)

Press TV Guide → Browse → All Channels → ITV → select the desired channel. The Sky channel numbers (101-112) are standard across the UK.

Virgin Media (Cable)

Press Home → TV Guide → Channels → ITV. The LCN numbers (102-112) are the standard Virgin layout.

ITVX (Online)

Open itvx.com (or use the dedicated app on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV). All linear ITV channels appear under “Live TV”, and you can also watch catch-up on demand.

Key Points for Viewers & Professionals

  • Freeview is the only completely free, over-the-air way to access ITV’s core portfolio (ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, ITV Be, CITV, and the +1 services).
  • All ITV channels are broadcast in HD on Freeview, Sky, Virgin, and via ITVX (except for some older SD set-top boxes that may only show the SD simulcast).
  • Regional news is embedded in ITV1; no separate channel number is required—your TV will automatically switch to the appropriate regional feed based on your postcode.
  • ITVX is the central hub for both live linear streams and the entire on-demand catalogue (including exclusives like “The Great British Bake Off” re-runs, “Broadchurch,” and new ITV Originals).
  • Sky and Virgin subscribers receive the same lineup but can also add ITVX Premium (ad-free, early-access to new episodes) for an extra monthly fee.
  • CITV’s broadcast hours (Freeview 42, Sky 107, Virgin 108) are 6 am – 7 pm; after that the slot is used for the ITV Kids Block on ITV2 in the evenings.
  • +1 channels are being phased out on some platforms (Sky and Virgin announced they will drop ITV2 +1 and ITV3 +1 in 2026). Keep an eye on future EPG updates if you rely on those timeshifts.
  • ITV +1 can be used as a fallback if you miss the start of a programme; it carries the exact same schedule as ITV1 delayed by one hour.
